The Canberra and Queanbeyan region has a vibrant independent performing arts community.

Every year, hundreds of actors, singers, dancers and behind-the-scenes creatives put months of dedication into rehearsals and performances to the delight of thousands of grateful audience members. And they do it for love!

Cabaret

The Ovations is proud to announce that it will recognise outstanding cabaret as part of its 2024 awards. There will be an award for Outstanding Cabaret Production to encompass all aspects of the cabaret experience from programming to performances to technical and creative inputs. There will also be, at the judges’ discretion, up to three Ovations for outstanding cabaret performance. These awards will be presented in early 2025
